Chris will
be using
horses
during his
demonstrations
at the
Cowboy
Christmas
event.
If you would
like to
submit your
horse for
any of the
categories’
below,
please fill
out the
online form
listed on
Chris'
website.
Chris
require a
DVD, VHS or
Video clip
of your
horse and
its problem.
If your
horse is
chosen, you
will be
notified by
a member of
the CCHC
staff at the
numbers that
you have
provided.
Chris is
looking
for
horses
in the
following
categories’:
Problem
Horse-Bucking
- Chris
is
looking for
a well
broken (NOT
GREEN) horse
that has
developed an
Extreme
bucking
problem.
Chris
does ask that
you submit
video of
your horse.
They understand
due to
safety
reasons for
not riding
the horse in
the video.
Please
show the
horse
saddled and
being worked
in a round
pen or
lunged.
Please
provide as
much
information
as you can
about past
bucking
history.

Problem
Horse-Trailer
Loading-
Chris is
looking for
a horse that
will not
load or is
rarely able
to load. A
horse that
partially
loads or
bolts out of
the trailer
backward
will not be
considered.
Please
submit video
showing the
horse and
owner trying
to load.
Please
provide as
much
information
as possible:
approximate
amount of
time spent
attempting
to load,
number of
people
required for
the job.

Problem-Horse-Headset-
The
perfect
headset
horse is the
one that
usually is
ridden with
a tie down
or just has
a high
natural
headset.
Horse may
pull on the
bit or carry
its nose in
the air. In
the video,
please show
the horse
being ridden
without
tie-down or
headset
restraint.
NO GREEN
horses
please.

Colt
Starting-
Chris asks
for a halter
broke 2 or 3
yr. old colt
or filly.
The horse
MUST NOT
have been
saddled,
bridled or
ridden
previously.
In the
video,
please show
the colt
being led
around in a
turnout/pen.

Building
the Rider’s
Confidence-
This
demo is
perfect for
the rider
that has had
a traumatic
or
terrifying
experience
with a horse
and is
trying to
build their
confidence
in riding
again.
Chris works
with each
rider in the
demo on
discovering
their inner
confidence
in their
horsemanship
through
correct seat
position.
There is no
fee for this
clinic
except for a
$25.00
stall fee.
Chris asks that
the rider be
able to
walk, trot
and/or
willing to
lope. In
this video,
please show
the rider on
their horse
and describe
where they
are lacking
confidence.
All
Horses must
have current
Coggins and
be under 14
yrs. old.
All
horses must
arrive at
the facility
by 5:00 pm
on the day
before their
demo starts.
You are
responsible
for feed,
shavings and
care of your
horse for
the duration
of the show.
Fee is
payable to
Chris Cox
(not IHC) upon
selection of
your horse.
Please be
ready for
your
demonstration
and be at
the ring at
least 30
min. prior
to your
demo.
For the
Colt
starting and
Bucking
horse and
Trailer
Loading
Demo, please
bring your
horse to the
ring in a
halter and
lead rope.
Headset
and Building
the Riders’
Confidence
Demo please
have your
horse tacked
up and be
ready to
ride.
Please
contact CCHC
personnel
when you
arrive at
Cloverdale,
either by
cell or come
to his booth
to check in.
